This is not just any season at Spar Uni Girona. It is a year of many changes and this can always bring extra work, especially in the first months of competition. Due to this, and despite having lost the semifinal of the Catalan League against Barça in Fontajau right after starting the season, de fact that right after that the team won the Spanish Supercup against València Basket and just a few days later they earned the classification to the group stage of the Euroleague by winning over the French Villeneuve, means that the confidence is maximum and that the work of the relays that must be faced in all the sporting bodies of the club can be done much more calmly.
The team from Girona faces the fourteenth season in the Women's League and does so with new faces in the sports management, on the bench and in the squad.
Starting with the offices, Laia Palau has taken over from Pere Puig as sports director. The former base has practically had no time to disconnect from her facet as a player, which has already been involved in the recruitment of some of the new pieces that the team has this year.
