There is Borja Ramon, Moi Aguirre, David Ariza and Biel Nadal at Girona; Ferran Formatjé and Marc Grau at Al-Coi; Oriol Vives at Lleida, Gerard Oviedo and Marc Puigvert at Arenys de Munt, Marc Julià at Reus and Roger Presas at Caldes. And, of course, among the players from the province of Girona who compete in the OK League, in the highest category of state hockey, there are also the Grau Tallada brothers, sons of Lloret de Mar and proud protagonists of a case as unique as it is beautiful. Carles and Marc, at Barça since this summer, and Àlex, Girona Club Hockey player since 2020 and captain since 2021.
Carles, born in March 1990, paved the way. "I first did judo, at the pavilion in Lloret and going to the tatami, I saw the children playing hockey and I thought that I would like to do what they did and that I wanted to be like them. And that's how I started to skate," he explains, breaking down the path, shaking the line. He is now a goalkeeper, the best in the OK League (Carles Trullols Award for the 2021-2022 season), but he started as a player. "Our goalkeeper was younger. I must have been five and he, four. Or six and five, I'm not sure. And he would fall asleep in the games. I was a defender and I would stand in front of him to try to stop the balls, to cover the goal. I have that image recorded. When he said he was leaving it, I said that I was already going to be the goalkeeper," recalls the elder from the Nissaga, smiling.
