After many years the regions of Girona have only one representative in the top category of roller hockey. And considering this fact, one must think that a batch of good players and/or the support of a sponsor can be two of the key factors that can explain the short-term or sustained success of small municipalities or humble clubs that participate in the OK League.
There is no doubt that the counties of Girona have good academies. There is a base and, above all, talent as has been demonstrated in the championships of regional teams and Championships of Catalonia in the different categories, but it is also true that the challenge is to expand the quality of the players to improve the potential of each of these teams. Currently, this talent that makes a difference is concentrated in several clubs.
